Frequently asked questions about App Store Google Play Data API
Which app stores and what data does this API cover?
Both major stores, in one API: Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). You can retrieve app details (ratings, rating count, price, version, release date, screenshots, genres, size), user reviews with pagination, keyword search, genre and category lists, and top charts — free, paid, grossing, new and trending. Every endpoint returns a consistent JSON envelope with metadata (store, country, language, timestamp), so results from both stores can be processed by the same code.
Which countries and languages can I query, and how does pagination work?
Every endpoint accepts country and lang (defaults us and en), so prices, ratings, reviews and charts can be pulled per storefront — the iOS data covers roughly 50 locales. List endpoints paginate with limit and offset and report has_more in the response (there is no total count, so keep paging while has_more is true). When calling from an AI agent, keep limit at 50 or below so responses stay comfortably inside the model's context window.
